Polka Dot
For school, one project the kids were able to do is watch caterpillars turn into butterflies. It is so fascinating to watch! Chloe grew VERY attached to the butterflies. She cried when I told her we would have to let them into the wild. When it came time to do it, though, she handled it better.
We released three butterflies into the wild, but one stayed around for quite a bit. She had named each of them, and the one who lingered was Polka Dot (I am guessing she just liked that name the best and did not actually know which butterfly was which).
Every time we see a butterfly (we can be anywhere), Chloe and Caleb both yell out, "It's Polka Dot!!"
It was actually not cold that day; Chloe's fashion has no regard for weather :)

How did she get the butterfly to stay like that? She's like the butterfly whisperer!
