Catch up

I want to catch up....Christmas and more....but my older three kids have been at their grandparents....and I've been MAJORLY cleaning out my house. It is interesting to me how we really don't have that much excess stuff....when it's all put away in the right place. There were hundreds of Legos around the house. And many ponytail holders. Among other stuff!! I am WORN OUT from it all, but my house has never been more organized. Of course, it will be torn up in 2.8 seconds when my kids return. Haha! Also, I will post pics later, but I also did a homeschool room makeover. I had a temporary table in a room that I was testing as a school room. It is working so well for us, so I wanted to make it a permanent spot. Not so beautiful but definitely practical. Anyway I want to do thorough updates but I am wiped out. I've also been having one on one time with my Beevers...organizing when he's in bed....and I have loved it!! He's been sick, so he needs me more than usual (w

Luke potty trained completely and fully (no diapers ever) within a week, maybe quicker. It was a wonderful gift, after potty training went not so well the first two times. Luke also has the spiritual gift of sleeping so super cute. I take pictures of him sleeping often because he's darn cute! Fun Facts About My Family

Some random facts about our family: Brett and Levi were born in the same state (FL). Caleb, Chloe, and Luke were born in the same state (KS). I stand alone (born in Indiana). My boys were born on odds days (3, 15, 21) and my girl was born on an even (10). No one is our family is born in the same month. Chloe is the only person born in an odd year (2007). Everyone in our family either has 4 or 5 letters in their name (not on purpose). Having two C names and two L names was entirely coincidental. Luke is growing up the same exact as me: 3rd child with an older brother then sister and a younger brother. That's my biological family, but my parents raised my cousin (so he is more a brother) and then adopted my sister when I was married. All our kids having family middle names (James, Grace, Weston, and Brett). None of my kids have been to one day of school in a regular school. I'm not anti-school at all, but even many homeschoolers have sent their kids to school at some point (presc

Levi- 6 Months

Image
My precious baby is 1/2 a year old.  That went wayyyy too fast.  I wrote a brief update of him a few days ago.  But I forgot to mention the cutest thing he does.  When he wakes up during a nap but only wants his pacifier, I will put it back in his mouth....then he curls up his legs under his tummy (so his booty is in the air) and brings his arms into his chest.  Every single time!  It is precious! Without further ado....Levi at 6 months....

Levi-First Foods

Image
Levi is eating baby food now.  He has not met a food he doesn't like yet.  He can also drink from a sippy cup, which impresses me.  What Luke was doing in the meantime...

Chloe's Spa

Image
I already posted one picture of this, but one day, Chloe set up a day spa for me.  She called it a Foot Bath Store. Chloe is really creative and often comes up with themed ideas....tea parties, birthday parties, baby showers, etc.  She wraps presents for the parties and prepares diligently to celebrate whatever it is.  I enjoy watching her wheels turn.  She actually is really good at it, and even the boys like to come to her events. I treasure her events.  They are a lot of mess, but that is just who she is....and I love that about her.

I am in love with my sweet four kids, even if taking a good picture eludes me, haha:

Family Photos

Image
This year, I did not have many family photos to pick from for our Christmas card (that I sent electronically...which goes against everything I believe in....but it did save quite a bit of money.  Christmas for 4 kids is not cheap, so I cut corners where I could.) Before a charity function Brett and I went to, we took some pictures....the kids were not so into it, but I still find it very important to capture my family!!  I always say the real pictures will be treasured later on way more than the perfect ones!

Me

Image
I am the family photographer.  I am rarely in photos.  I love documenting my children's lives, but one day, they may wonder if I was ever at their birthdays, holidays, and daily life (just kidding). Chloe took these pictures of me.  So I am posting them to prove I exist :).  And because I feel like I look a lot older than I did 5-6 years ago.  One day, I want to look back and laugh that this is what I thought old looked like (kinda like I thought I was big in high school...at a size 5...oh to be that "fat" again, haha).  My man and I (I took this)

My Beevers

Image
Can we just discuss how much I love my Beevers (Levi)??  Luke used to call Levi, "Bevi"....so we started calling him Beevers or the Beve. This kid is freaking amazing (imagine that, me bragging about my kids).  He is such a great baby.  He just goes with the flow.  He usually only ever cries if he's hungry (and then he can wail) or if he's tired of doing what he's doing.  Levi is so sweet and snuggly.  He isn't sleeping well through the night (the air conditioner wakes him up when it turns on, but I can't do anything about it...it's right by his room).  But he takes great naps and eats quickly in the night :).  He takes a pacifier (I see that being hard to break in the future because he loves it), but as with the other 3, he won't take a bottle. I caught this picture a moment too late, as Levi was making the same face as Brett.  They're twins. Levi started baby food this week and is doing great with it.  He eats it well and hasn't
