Goodbye, 2016!

I have no pictures for New Year's Eve, because it was the lamest ever. Brett was out of town, so I stayed home with my kids...and we just hung out. Nothing that special, but the perfect representation to end 2016. This was my least favorite year of my entire life. It was terrible in many ways. It was awesome in some ways. I am not sad to see it go. And I am VERY excited for 2017. There will be lots of change happening in our lives...I don't know exactly what, but I do know God is about to completely shake us up. My word for 2017 is SHINE. God has shown me that it is going to be the year that, in the words of Jake Hamilton's song Anthem... "He's calling, wake up child, it's your turn to shine, you were born for such a time as this!" I don't know exactly what that means, but I am super excited to find out. The good part of a crappy year is that it can only get better. And I am thankful for that. Stay tuned to see God's goodness in 2017...

The World's Messiest House

My children love to create and make messes. I give them pretty much free rein to be children and enjoy play. It results in a lot of cleaning, but I know it's absolutely worth it!

The Most Wonderful Time of the Year

Christmas Eve at the Puente's This year, we child got $30 to get gifts for all of their siblings. It was THE BEST part of Christmas. They loved buying stuff for each other, and they had a blast guessing what others got them. It was so sweet. From Chloe The Jammie Elf came!!!

Christmas Day!

This Christmas was absolutely wonderful. We had a delightful year. Lilly stayed with us for the week. My parents, Melissa, and Elias came on Christmas Day. My kids were the most grateful, sweetest kids on Christmas. I loved seeing how thankful and excited they were for the day. My heart was so full, and I am so thankful for my family!! This was probably my most favorite Christmas yet!

Levi's PreK Christmas Program

Levi was a wise man in his school's Christmas program. And his cuteness level might just have killed me. I couldn't stop smiling. He did not sing very loudly, and he seems to be shy on stage...but at home, he will belt out "Happy Birthday, Jesus!"...a darling song!
