Pookers

My kids each have a million nick names. Luke informed me that he would no longer like me to use one of them. Then he said, "You can call me Luke. You can call me Pookers. Or you can call me fart." Then he farted. - Posted using BlogPress from my iPhone

Things They Say

Are all kids as funny as mine? Because I seriously laugh every day. They're aren't comedic on purpose but still hilarious!! Chloe is probably the funniest because she is constantly dreaming big. Today, in the car, she asked if we could skip school. When I said no, she replied, "Well it's my American Girl* doll's birthday, and her party is during school." *she actually has an off-brand doll but still calls it AG (glad I didn't spend the $$, haha). She's been planning this party for awhile because we had this exchange recently: Chloe: "Mom, you know how on Christmas you go to the store in the middle of the night to get us, like, the trampoline?" Me: "Yeah" Chloe: "Can you go to the store in the middle of the night tonight to get two presents for my doll? She's going to college tomorrow and leaves really early." When trying to get her way: "I'm an artist so I can do anything!" When explaining the difference

Luke

Because he is constant comedy: His favorite phrases: "you're a meanie. Sorry." (As in, he's apologizing right after saying something mean because he's not supposed to be mean). And "that's nice". Like, "Mom, is that shirt new? That's nice." He is so hilarious!! - Posted using BlogPress from my iPhone

Valentines Day

Image
Brett got his Valentine a teddy bear (not pictured, a rose, and candy this morning. He came home for lunch for their date. Chloe had me curl her hair. She dressed up and put on perfume! To say she's excited is an understatement!! This is her waiting... And her main man arrived.... Brett is an amazing dad! - Posted using BlogPress from my iPhone

Best Birthday Present

Today is my 31st birthday. Today is the day my precious daughter formally began her walk with Jesus. Though, in her words, "I've been doing this for a long time. I pray to Jesus in my bed every night." Yesterday and today, Chloe has been questioning what it means to be a Christian. Caleb is proud that he is one, and she was curious what he meant by this. Brett explained to her this evening what it means to be a Christian. Chloe confirmed she believed these truths (and assured us she's known them and been following them for a long time, which I definitely believe....she's always prayed so sincerely and full of faith!). She did not want to pray at that moment to make it official (all of the kids were watching, and she got shy). Tonight, before bed, she brought it up again and said she's ready to pray. So I prayed with her, and Chloe instantly became flooded with joy!!! It was soooo sweet!! I am so excited for my sweet girl and new sister in Christ!! God is so go

A billy

Caleb calls Luke "a little Billy"....because Luke does "Billy" things. A stranger asked his name recently. He responded, "Farty pants". At Chloe's gymnastics, he set off the fire alarm. This boy is so amazing and absolutely precious!! He is such a snuggler. He compliments me often: "mommy, you look pretty" and things of the like. And he's also a billy :). A lovable billy. The fire alarm didn't even make me mad. It just made me laugh and realize: we have officially become "that" family. - Posted using BlogPress from my iPhone

Funny

Chloe was asking Caleb a series of questions today: "Who sleeps on the couch for naps?" (Luke) "Which kid likes to build Legos?" (Caleb) "Who is the cutest baby?" (Levi) Finally, she asked, "Who is the most beautiful girl ever??" Caleb said, "Mommy!!" Chloe replied, "Ok, there are two answers for that!" - Posted using BlogPress from my iPhone
