**Smiles**

My kids just get cuter by the day. I absolutely love their personalities, and I am so proud to be their mama. I would give anything to freeze time. Each of my kids is in such a fun stage right now, and I could just have them this little forever!

Luke is growing, growing, growing!! He was 18 pounds at his 6 month check up. My other kids were 19 pounds at their 1 year check up, so he is definitely my biggest baby yet! He sits up all by himself now. I imagine he'll be crawling fairly soon, because he already gets up on all fours and rocks. My world will be very different when he crawls, so I am not speeding that process along at all! But, he gets around quite well with just scooting on his belly.

Luke laughs all the time. Caleb makes him laugh more than anyone. Caleb is so sweet: when Luke wakes up, Caleb climbs into his crib with him. They just laugh and laugh!! My boys sharing a room is absolutely precious. They probably sleep less than they used to, but they definitely have more fun. It really seems to have bonded them much faster.

Luke also has a mohawk, which I think is hilariously cute!!

Chloe refers to herself as "Princess Peach", as of late. Recently, I said, "Chloe, I have a question for you." She replied, "Is it a princess question?" Princesses are her life!! She likes the Disney ones, but she also is just into princesses, in general (not a specific character).

I often say sarcastically, "Gee, I wish Chloe had more personality" because she is full of life. She brings so much joy and laughter to our home. And the girl loves to pray!! It's adorable to listen to her prayers.

Chloe also marches to her own drummer. Speed and conformity are not in her vocabulary. She loves to wear her tutu in public, but she is also really good at matching her clothes!

There are many things that I adore about Chloe, but one thing that just is so wonderful is that she loves to brush my hair! I have always said if I had the money, I would hire someone to brush my hair for hours a day! Lucky for me, I have a daughter who loves to pay beauty shop!

And, finally, Caleb....
Caleb is becoming more independent and responsible. It is really neat to see him become a true boy. He has the biggest imagination and plays very creatively. He loves to be "in charge" with me when Brett is gone. He has the most accurate memory of anyone I have ever known. He will remember the most minute details of an event that happened a year or two ago. It is crazy what he recalls.

Yesterday, our family had to go take pictures at the school Brett is coaching football at. I told Caleb we had to dress up a little for the pictures. He returns with a polo-style shirt and tells me he picked it because "it looks nice and has a number on it so it looks like a football jersey". Out of his whole closet, he was able to find a shirt that both looked nice and looked like a football jersey. I was impressed!!

Caleb enjoys entertaining us. He will do just about anything for a laugh. He dances funny, makes up silly words, or says silly things!

All of my kids just bring joy to my heart. Parenting has its rough days, but overall, I feel so blessed that most of my days are filled with joy, laughter, and fun!!

One last story to close...
Apparently, when I leave people voicemails, I end with "have a good day". Today I did not say that, and when I hung up, Chloe said, "You forgot to say 'have a good day'". That made me laugh and made me realize I need to change up my vocab a bit :).

WIth that being said, have a good day!

  1. Sarah, I just love how your voice comes through in your posts!

Also, you've written before how you wish you could freeze time with your kids at the age they're at. I love that about you! You've loved every stage of parenting and I don't think that will ever change! You're a good mama!
