More Maternity Pictures

Image
I keep meaning to have my friend come over to take maternity pictures for me, but it is so hot and I am so big that I can never find the motivation. Brett and I were going on a date, so I asked our babysitter to take a few before we left!  Brett also took some (the ones he isn't in). Unless I have my friend do pictures (which I still may but that would require coordinating outfits, haha), these will be our last pictures as a family of 5.  So hard to believe!

Sweetness

Image
I came home from errands with a friend to find this.... I married the greatest man alive. Please excuse Luke's markered body....he is obsessed with drawing on himself.  This marker was particularly hard to get off :(.  And how he is comfortable like that, I don't know! Chloe was asleep when I came in but then woke up once I took the first picture (this is the 2nd one).

Haircut

Image
Ok, I know I already posted about Chloe's haircut. Apparently, it's traumatic for me because I keep thinking about it. Headbands do cover a multitude of sins, though, haha! Here is when she cut it (which, as I said, looks better than the professional who corrected it): Chloe lives to have fun, so of course, we have to have the silly pictures:

Big Sister

Image
I had my friend, Mallika, and her kids over the other day. We couldn't find the two year old boys (which is never a good thing, haha). We finally found them in the Chloe's closet....she was "reading" them a story:

Side Ponytail

Image
I used to wear my hair in a side ponytail as a kid....everyday for like 2 years. It made me smile when Chloe asked me to do her hair in a side ponytail (this was pre-haircut): Then they got goofy: - Posted using BlogPress from my iPhone

Justin Bieber Lover

Whenever Caleb wants to make Chloe really mad, he calls her a "Justin Bieber lover". Neither of them really have heard his music yet for some reason, they find loving him to be soooo offensive!! It makes me laugh so hard! And if that's the worst they can come up with, I'd say we are doing pretty well :). - Posted using BlogPress from my iPhone

Oh, Chloe

Image
It was bound to happen at some point: a child cutting their own hair. Yesterday, I happened to notice Chloe had some cute little bangs. I get whispies (is that a word?) near my forehead, so I figured it was just that. After a few times noticing it, it dawned on me: she cut her own hair. We had been swimming all day, so her hair had been wet....which is why it wasn't super noticeable at first. She actually did a decent job, if you don't notice she cut to the scalp in the exact middle of her forehead. Her hair used to be one length! I took better pictures on my real camera but you'll get the idea: The hair dresser was so set on giving her bangs (which do not suit her well). I disagreed but she claimed her hair would grow out better if she cut bangs. So here we are...my beautiful girl with really bad hair!! It's so embarrassing because it makes me look like I have no clue what I'm doing with my girl's hair. Here's the after haircut pics: The pictures actually d

Lukey

One of the weirdest parts of having a new baby is that your current baby will no longer be the baby. Caleb will still be the oldest. Chloe will still be the second. But Luke will lose his place as the baby of the family. I already know he will look like a grown man when I come home from the hospital even though he seems so little now. More than the older two, I've been really sentimental with Luke lately. He is so precious. He will sit on my lap and his shoulders just seem so small. His dreams are big but his vocabulary is small (but expanding). He is so absolute boy yet still so little. He can hit, fight, and keep up with the big kids...yet he requires more attention. He is so wild yet so snuggly and so fun. A few things about him that totally make me smile: - his vocabulary is expanding daily, but two phrases he says that surprise me are "daddy's gun" and "baby Levi". He can't say his own name but he points to my belly and says "baby Levi". B

Decor

Image
We have lived in our house close to a year. There's still things I want to do around the house (mostly big stuff that will have to wait), but there's a few projects that have been bothering me for awhile. My Mother's Day gift was to get a few items to spruce up some areas. This is the first thing I did. This wall has had a few different things on it, but nothing that ever fit. For some reason, the art is my price range is just blah. If something isn't meaningful, I don't like it. I know a lot of people who have a gift of displaying beautiful art, but it just doesn't work for me. I love photos, but my living room (where this wall is) doesn't have many photos. Which is why I decided on this inexpensive decor: Chloe wanting in on the fun: Canvases can be pricey but I found these at artscow.com for $18/each with free shipping. They come from Hong Kong, but the shipping was crazy fast! I bought the ribbon to dress them up a bit. They look better in real life; the

Things That Make My Life Awesome

Here is another edition of awesome things my kids do to make me laugh. I may mention things I've said before, so forgive me in advance: - when I kiss Luke, he licks his finger and wipes off my kiss. Or he uses his shirt to wipe it off. I have no idea where he got this! - Chloe LOVES baby Levi. This could be a post itself. One day, loud music was playing and she held his "ears" (my tummy where she thinks his ears are) because he doesn't like loud music, according to her! She talks to him, hugs him, and simply adores her brother to be! It melts my heart. - Chloe calls me "mama" and sometimes have a southern twang. No clue where she got it from but it's so cute! - Caleb loves toys! He spends a lot of time talking about toys, trying to earn money for toys, and browsing the Internet to find the perfect toy. - Caleb is very thorough and takes his time to make a good decision. I like this about him. - Luke doesn't stay in his bed at all. It can be frustrati

Reasons I Cannot Wait To Be Not Pregnant

- of course, I will be holding my baby boy! - I want to wear my wedding ring again (I had a fake ring that I lost last week, so now I look like an unwed mother of 4, haha). I actually don't care if I look married or not, but my wedding ring is my most favorite piece of jewelry! - my sciatic pain is intolerable :(. I can't wait for that to be gone! - I know this will be a few months away, but I can't wait to wear my normal clothes! My maternity clothes are getting very tight, and I don't have many to begin with! - I hate having to pee every 4 minutes - I miss laying comfortably in bed with my kids and reading books with them! I can't wait to do that again! - I'm a back sleeper; I'm ready to do that again! - I want food to taste good again (though I'm not sick, food still isn't good) - SUSHI! I am going to eat that ASAP after delivery!! - mostly, I just want to hold my bundle of joy :) - Posted using BlogPress from my iPhone

Giants Baseball

Image
Caleb completed his first season of t-ball!  Halfway through the season, they actually stopped hitting off the tee (unless the child couldn't hit the pitched balls).  Caleb loved baseball practice, but he was not a fan of the games....because they moved too slow for his liking!  Baseball comes pretty natural to him.  Once it became coach pitch, he always hit the ball on the first or second attempt.  He could catch the ball and throw it where it was supposed to go.  Nevertheless, he asked to play football, soccer, or basketball in the fall! The boredom: My cute #5: Hitting: One of the coaches (there is a group of coaches who rotate): Daddy is so proud of his awesome son: Caleb and his friend, Jake:
