Kitchen Makeover

I have issues. I really enjoy changing my home around, and when Brett is gone, I use that time to do something fun to my house! Once I have my house "just right", maybe I will stop with my projects. Luckily that's a distant dream for it to look as I envision (unless I win the lottery that I don't play)!

I've never liked my kitchen color, but it wasn't awful. I found the color on Pinterest but the picture was labelled wrong...so the color I got wasn't what I wanted.

Brett went to Tampa yesterday to watch the FSU game with his cousin and friend.

I searched through my paint cans and realized I had almost an entire gallon of leftover bedroom paint. I love my bedroom paint color, so I decided it would be a free fun makeover for my kitchen!

I spent all of Saturday night painting. Caleb and Chloe helped a little bit (when they would venture out of bed), and they loved that!!

I am so much happier with the color, and I feel like it gives my house more continuity. It is a bit strange to have the bedroom and kitchen match, but the light hits them very differently....so it looks a little different.

Another Child One Day

Going back through my posts, I realized I had a few blogs I wrote but never published. One is when I was wavering between adopting or birthing our fourth child. One thing is for sure: our family is not complete. I cannot explain that other than I just know. For awhile there, I was strongly contemplating adopting, but for now, I am leaning more towards birthing the last child. In fact, I am most certain, God willing, that is what our plans are. We are trying to decide when to try to have a baby. And by "try", I mean get pregnant. I have many weaknesses, but fertility is not one of them. In case you can't tell. Our kids are fairly close, so one part of me wants to get pregnant in about 9-10 months....and be done. Forever!! But another part of me wonders if I should take a longer break. Christmas Traditions

It's the most wonderful time of the year! Along with pretty much everyone else, this is my most favorite holiday. As my children age, it just keeps getting better and better!! Establishing traditions is one of my goals during the holiday season. I am a sentimental person, and I am hopeful my kids will grow up with fond memories of their childhood Christmases.
