The Wic-Kids

As any good homeschooling family must do, my kids have formed a band. Because we only own a ukulele and a keyboard, most of their instruments are homemade. They named their band The Wic-kids (the play on words is impressive). When asked what type of music they would play, Caleb said, "Not country because our first performance will be at the warehouse*, and the people there are city people, not country

Brain Heart

Me talking to Chloe (in response to a boy saying she is pretty): You are pretty, and you're heart is even prettier. Caleb: She has an ugly heart. Me: Lecturing about how we treat Chloe. Caleb: Mom, everyone's heart is ugly. I'm talking about her real heart, not her brain heart.

The Keys

We went to the Keys with Brett's brother and his family and best friend from high school and his family. We had the BEST time.

Easter 2015

Image
We spent time with family and friends in the Keys for Easter. It was a Salt Life celebration: no fancy clothes, no make-up, pool hair. Just perfect.

A Surreal Moment

Three of our children looking at our banner on the field of the Lynn Lacrosse team Brett trains. This is the fulfillment of so many dreams and prayers. Our kids are just the best. Our business is our dream come true. It's amazing how one picture can capture so much.

Lynn Knights

Brett trains the Lynn University Lacrosse team, so we love to go to their games. Chloe and Luke were picked to participate in the Geico Gecko halftime game. They loved it and won the coolest geckos!!

Worst Parenting Fail

Image
I haven't taken updated photos of my four kids in quite some time. They're losing teeth, growing up, and changing so fast. We had an uneventful day today, so I took some pictures. And captured the worst parenting fail of all time. Luke uses his middle finger as a pointer. We've tried to explain to him sort of what it means, but he continues to use it as a pointer (with no ill intent). When I asked him to explain this, he said, "You said be goofy, so I pointed my finger." Even though he can't seem to understand it's wrong, I cannot stop laughing at the perfection of it. It just perfectly sums up me raising kids!
