I cannot say 2014 was my most favorite year. It was long.  It was hard.  But it was filled with so many awesome moments. The long and hard was mostly character refinement.  I definitely had a lot to refine (and still do), so while I would not to repeat the year, it was very good for me.  I feel like a much different person at the end of it all. There were some very significant deaths....both of sweet friends and famous people.  Those were hard and hard to understand. Our business continues to be a great joy and also a huge learning curve. And throughout the year, there was so much good.  I got to take three really fun trips and visit friends and family that are deeply valuable to me.  I got to see my husband grow a business and succeed at something he is passionate about.  I cut things out of my life (activities and possessions) that were not bringing life to our family....to create more space for what we love and enjoy. For NYE, we hosted a low key party. It was relaxing and fun!! The perfect way to end 2014.  About ten seconds after midnight, it started to rain....it was really cool....

To close out my blog for 2014, I am going to step on the soap box of what I've learned in the last 365 days. In case you couldn't tell by my overposting on Facebook:  I like clean.  I like organization.  I like people who smell good.  I like beautiful spaces. I like well-fitting jeans (though owning a pair eludes me).  I like clean lines.  I don't really mind laundry because it's just so clean (once it's done, obviously). Our second annual ASA Christmas party was a blast!!!  Rosa and Levi Levi was EXHAUSTED from staying up late!

I took Chloe to get a manicure.

A super fun trip....I got to surprise my close friend, Robyn, for her birthday!!! Her husband flew me out as part of her gift, and we had the most fun weekend.  It was such a blast hanging out and getting to see her new life! It was a quick trip, but I am so thankful for the opportunity :) A cool part:  in August, I prayed (more like begged) God to provide a way for me to travel.  I hadn't left the state of FL in over 18 months.  Within 3 months, I went on 3 trips.....and for very little cost to me.  I was so blown away by His answer to that prayer!

Each year, Christmas gets more and more fun! This year, it was just our family of 6. I cherished it and am so grateful for such happy hearted kids! Caleb was the first awake...but my kids don't wake up at unreasonable times...it was around 7:30.  I let him wake up the others about 8. Our dinner was a steakhouse theme....wedge salad, steak, green beans, fried pickles, homemade rolls, and pie.  So delish!

This year, we decided on a low key Christmas Eve. We hung out around the house and enjoyed time as a family. Of course, the jammie elf came for a visit!! Chloe was positive she was getting a bunny for Christmas, so she made a house for Bun Buns. A note for Santa Caleb's jammie shirt was too small, so he let Santa know! Cookies
